We enjoy our freedom that we have in America, and it's so typical to ignore our individual need to protect our right to do the things that we take for granted. Our right to keep and bear arms is a right afforded to us by the U.S. Constitution. These rights included personal freedom in relation to economic endeavor, free access to the market and a right to retain the fruits of one's labor--rewards usually determined by the market, which became the property of one endeavoring, to be passed on to his family and heirs;--together with freedom of personal conscience, limited only by one's obligations to that social compact; and together (by obvious implication) with the right to defend what was one's own.
The right to keep and bear arms, often referred as the right to bear arms or the right to have arms, is the assertion that people have a personal right to "weapon or weapons" for individual use, or a collective right to bear arms in a militia, or both.
The people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and their own state, or the United States, or the purpose of killing game; and no law shall be passed for disarming the people or any of them, unless for crimes committed.
The Second Amendment helps preserve an individual's right to life and liberty, by allowing a law-abiding person the choice of whatever means he or she prefers to protect itself, loved ones, and property. While violence is an unfortunate part of living in society, someone who is planning to hurt someone else will choose whatever means are available, whether that is a firearm, a knife, a car, or a heavy stone. Gun control laws have done very little to stop criminals from using firearms, but they have created places where criminals can do their deeds in relative safety, knowing that individuals there are unlikely to be able to defend themselves.
Firearms are an important part of preserving our freedoms, both from the power of the state and from bad guys who wish to harm peaceable individuals. For violent encounters, guns are the best equalizer of force currently available.
We strongly encourage those that do not understand or are against gun ownership to try to exercise their gun rights. To our past experiences most of the people that are against guns are the ladies, who believes that it's the job of the Government or Police to protect the citizen's and there for only they should have the right to attain a firearm, (not the citizens.)
Your personal safety is your own responsibility. If you don't choose to accept this responsibility, why should anyone else? Even though the law enforcement officers do a superb job, it's not enough in most situations. It takes less than a minute for an attacker to do what it needs to do successfully. Are you willing to become a victim? Are you willing to find yourself in a situation where your are hopeless and not able to protect yourself or your family? All it takes is that one time, that one moment, that one situation and it could be your last, and then maybe, just maybe for that split second the thought comes to you wishing you had a gun. Think about it.
